Sandy Martin’s dolled-up  Industrial Chic

Sandy Martin one thought switching from larger, recycled, mixed media art to jewelry would take up less space.  She supported herself through nursing school by selling jewelry, and while it is still her primary medium, still creates in her mixed media, upcycled roots.

“I love making jewelry for so many reasons. It makes me feel connected to the community when I know the piece will be sold. It creates a bond between you and the wearer. Jewelry often prompts conversations between strangers that may never have happened were it not for the jewelry they wore.”
