2 Bling or not to Bling… with Tami Bayer

Do you have a ritual to get your creative day started? Mixed media artist Tami Bayer stars her day with “at least two cups of tea” and a walk with her dogs, a Dachshund and Viszla.

Tami writes: My work reflects my love for all things vintage and unique. I’m most content when pushing the limits of a new technique with ink or paint on my hands. I come from a long line of quilters and seamstresses; I learned to sew and embroider as a young child.  I didn’t feel like a creative being until I began working with paper about 10 years ago. I incorporate fabric, trims, and buttons in my work, but rarely break out the sewing machine. Lately I’m drawn to create jewelry and other wearable art.  I live by the mantra my mom repeated many times over the years, “I can make that!” And, then she did indeed make it.  I guess this apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

We thank Tami for adding us to her creative day and you for hopping over to her blog as part of your Sunday.
